The Right and Wrong Posture | Improve our Posture

Posture is the position in which the body alignment is maintained in neutral. Good posture prevents musculoskeletal injuries. Usually, we ignore the proper postures and go with the comfortable ones. Often these relaxed postures are wrong.

Bad postures can cause several effects like back pain, joint degeneration, spine dysfunction, and even a potbelly. Knowing the proper postures and following them can help your long-term health.

Right and wrong postures

  •       While standing, it is important to stand straight without hunching.
  •       While sitting, do not hunch and cross your legs. Instead, sit with your spine straight and keep your feet down.
  •       While using a laptop or computer, make sure that it is at the right height and you do not have to bend your back or neck much to work on it. You should be able to work on the laptop while sitting straight.
  •       While using mobiles, most of us tend to keep it at chest height and look down to use it. But the right posture is to hold it up high and use it without straining your neck much.
  •       While supine lying down, place small and flat pillows – one for your head and another under your knees.
